Settimana Magionese e Palio del Giogo

The 2025 edition marked the 44th Settimana Magionese, held from August 2 to 10 in the historic centre of Magione. The event opened on Saturday, August 2, with the Launch of the Challenge in Piazza Carpine, enlivened by the Assisi Fire and Crossbowmen Group and the 'Giro Veloce' trial, which determined the starting order for the race between the four districts: Casenuove, Caserino, Comune, and Stazione.

On Sunday, August 3, children were the protagonists of the 'Rioni senza Frontiere' games in Piazza Matteotti. The week offered music, folklore, theatre, cinema, literary events, and the typical cuisine of the district taverns. The climax was on Saturday, August 9, with the Night of the Stars: the Corteo del Palio del Giogo with costumes and scenery inspired by the theme "Daily life in Magione between the 13th and 14th centuries, through the seasons of the year", followed by the Palio race preceded by a performance by the Music and Flag-wavers Group of the City of Cortona.
