A parade that lights up the night
The Sernaglia della Battaglia Carnival, in the heart of Marca Trevigiana, is one of the most characteristic events of Venetian carnival. Its peculiarity is being an evening and night parade: the allegorical floats parade illuminated along the town's streets, transforming the evening into a spectacle of lights, colors, choreography, and music.
A tradition rooted in the post-war era
The festival has its roots in the second half of the 1940s, when it was born as a moment of gathering and celebration for seasonal emigrants returning to their hometown. Since then, the Sernaglia Carnival has grown to become one of the flagship events of the Carnevali di Marca circuit, which brings together the allegorical float parades of the province of Treviso.
Floats and groups from all over the Marca
Numerous floats and masked groups from Sernaglia and neighboring municipalities participate in the parade: from Quartier del Piave to the Treviso plain, each group brings its own theme, masks, and choreography to the square. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Sernaglia together with the Associazione Festeggiamenti di Sernaglia della Battaglia, with the support of the Municipality.
Party in the square until late
Once the parade is over, the party continues in the square with music, dancing, and the traditional bar stand open throughout the evening. A popular and family-friendly carnival, which combines the spectacle of the large allegorical floats with the warmth of a town festival, in the municipality of Sernaglia della Battaglia (province of Treviso).
Sernaglia Carnival — edition 2026
The 77th edition of the Sernaglia della Battaglia Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, starting at 8:00 PM (the date initially set for February 14 has been postponed). The night parade winds through the town streets and concludes with music and dancing in the square with the accompanying groups.

Night parade of allegorical floats and masked groups along the town streets. Groups and floats announced with their respective themes:
- SimpaBersa from San Stino di Livenza — "Dancing with the Gods" (opening)
- Comitato Colombere from Cusignana — "The Royal Eagle Tribe"
- Rabaltai from Ciano del Montello — "Colorful Roulette"
- Sanvecarri — "Me with Mario, You with Bowser!"
- Gruppo Amici di Levada — "Toy Story"
- Gruppo Quei de Soligo — "Up Soligo Flies, Soligo Dreams"
- Coriandolando per Pieve di Soligo — "The Lion King"
- Amici del Carnevale di Falzè — "Landing in the East"
- Associazione Festeggiamenti di Sernaglia della Battaglia
- Allegra Comitiva APS from Bidasio
Afterwards, music and dancing in the square with the accompanying groups. Bar stand open throughout the evening.

How to get there
Sernaglia della Battaglia is located in Quartier del Piave, in the province of Treviso. By car from the A27 (Conegliano exit), then follow the SP to Pieve di Soligo and Sernaglia. The parade takes place along the streets of the town center.

Evening parade, usually in February or March, during the Carnival period. Check the date on the Pro Loco website and the Carnevali di Marca circuit.
Admission
The parade takes place on public streets; it is advisable to arrive early to find a spot along the route.
