Edition 2025 — September Patronal Feasts

The 2025 edition of the Ortona dei Marsi patronal feasts was held in early September, honoring San Rocco (Sept 6), Sant'Antonio da Padova (Sept 7), and the Madonna delle Grazie (Sept 8). To cover the costs of brass bands, musical evenings, and fireworks, the 2025 Ortona dei Marsi Festival Committee launched a fundraising campaign among the community and emigrants in late August, a testament to how deeply felt this feast is in a village of only a few hundred residents.

The 2025 Patronal Feasts

In 2025, Ortona dei Marsi once again renewed its appointment with its September patronal feasts, dedicated to San Rocco, Sant'Antonio da Padova, and the Madonna delle Grazie. The 2025 Ortona dei Marsi Festival Committee managed the organization, involving the community and the many emigrants connected to this Giovenco Valley village.

As is tradition, the program combined religious moments—Masses and the September 8th procession through the village streets—with popular celebrations, featuring brass bands, live music evenings, fireworks, and the characteristic Ballo della Pupazza to conclude the festivities. To support the expenses, the organization launched a fundraiser that saw the participation of numerous donors.
