Edition 2025 — Senarica Chestnut Festival

The 20th edition of the Senarica Chestnut Festival took place from October 17 to 19, 2025, in the historic center of the village, a hamlet of Crognaleto (TE). Three days dedicated to the 'Lu 'Nzite' chestnut featuring food stalls, music, hikes in the chestnut groves, and the presentation of the 'Lu 'Nzite d'Oro' award. The edition showcased the Living Gran Sasso project for the revitalization of the Apennine inland areas.

2025 Edition — the 20th Chestnut Festival

The 20th edition of the Senarica Chestnut Festival was held from October 17 to 19, 2025, in the historic center of the village of Senarica, in Crognaleto (TE), with stalls open from the afternoon until late at night.

The program alternated between chestnut-based gastronomy, live music, games in the square, and a five-a-side football tournament. A central moment was the round table "Living Gran Sasso and Inland Areas: building the future" at Largo Colle, with local administrators and associations. On Sunday, the Baron's Bike Ride, musical performances, and the presentation of the "Lu 'Nzite d'Oro 2025" award took place. The star, as always, was the prized Senarica chestnut, among the best in Italy.

Programme

Fri 17: five-a-side football tournament, opening of food stalls, exhibitions, and musical entertainment. Sat 18: opening of stalls and exhibitions, 'Living Gran Sasso and Inland Areas' round table at Largo Colle. Sun 19: Baron's Bike Ride, musical performances, 'Lu 'Nzite d'Oro 2025' award ceremony, music, and DJ set.
