Secular Procession of Good Friday

In 2025, the Secular Procession of Good Friday took place on Friday, April 18th, in Montefiore Conca, province of Rimini. The medieval village lit up with torches and fires to accompany the procession of figures—confraternities, apostles, pious women, and little angels—along the streets of the historic center to the little Church of the Hospital, transformed for the occasion into the Holy Sepulchre. The evening concluded with prayer, the distribution of blessed bread, and the traditional kissing of the Christ, confirming the strong identity value of this rite for the entire Valconca community.
