Sea Procession of Maria SS. delle Grazie

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, the village of Mondello, in Palermo, held its sea procession of Maria SS. delle Grazie. The celebration opened with an open-air mass at the harbor, followed by the most evocative moment: the transfer of the 'Marunnuzza' statue onto a boat and the journey out into the gulf.

• Dozens of vessels accompanied the Madonna with lit candles;
• Offshore, floral wreaths were cast into the sea in memory of those lost at sea;
• The village was illuminated for the festival, which concluded with fireworks.
