Edition 2025 — Sea Festival

The 15th edition of the Sea Festival took place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, on the seafront of Furci Siculo. The evening, organized by the Pro Loco, featured the usual fresh fish festival — with the famous fried fish and traditional maritime specialties — accompanied by live music, games, and re-enactments of local folklore, in one of the most beloved summer events on the Ionian Riviera of Messina.

The 15th edition of the Sea Festival was held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, on the seafront of Furci Siculo, confirming the success of one of the most renowned fish festivals in the province of Messina.

The evening began at 7:00 PM, near the Pro Loco information point, with the evocative scenic performance 'The Fishing' staged by the folk group Canterini della Riviera Jonica 'Melino Romolo', which re-enacted the ancient traditions of local fishermen. Following this, the food stalls served fresh fried fish — tuna, swordfish, and shellfish landed at the port by local fishermen — amidst live music, singers, and the festive atmosphere of the seaside village. The event, recognized as a 'Quality Festival' by the UNPLI, attracted numerous visitors along the coast of this town in Ionian Sicily.
