Edition 2025 — Sea Festival

On August 8, 2025, Marina di Torre Vado hosted the Sea Festival, an evening dedicated to the maritime traditions of lower Salento. Along the waterfront, just steps from the harbor, stalls offered fried mixed fish, gratin mussels, octopus, fish soup, local wine, and Salento pastries in a festive atmosphere overlooking the sea. The musical backdrop was provided by folk groups and Salento pizzica, with dance performances and craft markets. Free admission.

The 2025 edition of the Sea Festival took place on August 8 in Marina di Torre Vado, a district of the municipality of Morciano di Leuca (Lecce), on the promenade overlooking the Ionian Sea of Salento.

The absolute star was the seafood cuisine: fried mixed fish and calamari, gratin mussels and mussel soup, grilled and pignata-style octopus, fish soup, and seafood pasta dishes, all accompanied by local wine and typical Salento desserts. The dishes, prepared according to local fishermen's recipes, were served just steps from the water.

The evening was enlivened by folk music and Salento pizzica, with dance performances for all ages, craft and local product markets, and relaxation areas on the waterfront. Admission to the event was free, with food and drinks available for purchase at the stalls.
