Edition 2025 — Sea and Taste Festival
2025 Edition in Porto Empedocle
In 2025, the Porto Empedocle stop of the Sea and Taste Festival took place on June 21st at the Tower of Charles V in Porto Empedocle, as the second of ten summer events in the GALP Flag "Il Sole e l'Azzurro" series.
Starting at 9 PM, the featured artist was harmonica player and composer Giuseppe Milici with his musical project "I Sud del mondo", accompanied by singer Anita Vitale and accordionist Roberto Gervasi. The performance explored the cultures of the South through music, weaving together tango, Brazilian bossa nova, and Argentine atmospheres with Sicilian tradition, in a journey that reaches out to other lands and other "Souths" of the world.
The 2025 edition also confirmed the festival's formula: promoting coastal fishing and seafood products from the coastline between Campobello di Mazara and Porto Empedocle through music and events spread across the ten GALP municipalities.
