Scherzo — Carnival Adventures

Scherzo 2025 — second edition

From March 1st to 4th, 2025, the Reggia di Venaria hosted the second edition of Scherzo — Carnival Adventures, four days of theatre, music, and dance in the spirit of Carnival. The plot centred on a grand party in honour of the young Prince, with a twist: among the masked guests was the beautiful young Marchioness, his betrothed, but the outcome of their encounter remained to be discovered.

Throughout the event, theatrical gags, unexpected appearances, and comedic situations engaged visitors in an interactive experience. The days were enriched by a mask-making workshop inspired by the Reggia's decorations, dedicated to families and children, and special afternoon snacks at the Caffè degli Argenti, featuring hot chocolate and traditional Carnival bugie. The Reggia observed extended hours: open from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM from March 1st to 3rd, and until 6:30 PM on March 4th. The event, co-produced with the Fondazione Teatro Ragazzi e Giovani di Torino, was included in the admission ticket.

2025 Program

From March 1st to 4th, the Reggia di Venaria offered four days of Carnival-themed music, dance, and theatre.

• Plot: A grand party for the young Prince, with the surprise arrival of the young Marchioness, his betrothed, and an uncertain ending full of misunderstandings and twists.
• Workshops: Mask-making workshop inspired by the Reggia's decorations, for families and children.
• Snacks: Hot chocolate and Carnival bugie at the Caffè degli Argenti.
• Hours: 9:30 AM–7:30 PM from March 1st to 3rd; 9:30 AM–6:30 PM on March 4th.

The theatrical scenes were repeated several times throughout the day along the tour route.
