Scena ArenAniene 2025: comedy at the Teatro Aniene

From October 9 to November 11, 2025, the Teatro Aniene in Rome hosted the second edition of Scena ArenAniene, a festival dedicated to new languages of comedy and contemporary theatre. The artistic direction of Giulio Gargia and Patrizia Di Terlizzi created a programme titled «Comedians», capable of alternating established performers of Italian comedy with young emerging authors.

Promoted by Roma Capitale and produced by the Tam Tam Cooperative in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura as part of Roma Creativa 365, the event confirmed its vocation as a cultural hub for Municipality III and the northern suburbs of the capital, combining evening shows, theatre workshops, and literary presentations.

The 2025 programme, dedicated to the theme «Comedians», featured among others:

• October 9 – «Storia di Rino», a tribute to Rino Gaetano;
• October 10 – «Maradona, San Gennaro e lo Sciopero dei Miracoli» with Patrizio Rispo and Zap Mangusta;
• October 11 – «Sole a Metà» by Tiziana De Giacomo;
• October 12 – «Nonsense di Me!» with Andrea Rivera;
• October 30 – «L'Amore ai Tempi dello Stress» by Salvatore Mazza;
• October 31 – «A Nanna dopo Carosello» by Clara Costanzo;
• November 5 – «6 Gradi» with Giobbe Covatta;
• November 11 – «Clonazione da Tiffany» by Giovanni Ribò.

Alongside the shows, the programme also included theatre workshops (with Marco Belocchi and Giovanni Ribò), seminars, and literary presentations. Shows generally started at 9:00 PM, with some events starting earlier at 7:00 PM.
