The Scambi.Amo Swap Party is a clothing and accessory exchange event held at CSA La Torre, a historic social center in the Pietralata district of Rome. The initiative was born from the collaboration between the Scambi.Amo collective and the self-managed spaces of the Torre, united for a Sunday entirely dedicated to non-profit bartering. The event's motto, «Fight, swap, love!», captures the participatory and solidarity-driven spirit of a day where fashion becomes an opportunity for connection and reuse.

How the swap works

The Swap Party mechanism is simple and transparent:

• Each person can bring up to five clean, high-quality clothing items or accessories.
• Each piece is evaluated from 1 to 5 by the collective's staff.
• In exchange, you receive vouchers of equal value, which act as currency to pick up other items.
• Any remaining credit stays valid and can be used at the next event.

Bartering completely removes money from the transaction: admission is free, and the goal is to give a second life to items you no longer use by passing them on to someone who will appreciate them.

CSA La Torre, the heart of Pietralata

The La Torre social center, located at via Carlo Giuseppe Bertero 13, is a landmark for grassroots associations and culture in the Pietralata district, in the northeastern part of Rome. During the Swap Party, the center's spaces come alive not only with exchange stalls but also with the bar and kitchen, which remain open throughout the day. Starting at noon, a community lunch is served, a convivial moment that strengthens the event's communal character.
