Santissimo Salvatore Festival – 'Ntinna a mare

The 2025 edition of the Santissimo Salvatore Festival of the Transfiguration was celebrated in Cefalù from August 2nd to 6th, confirming the blend of religious devotion and popular festival.

The main day of August 6th saw the traditional nine blank shots at 9:00 AM and the parade of the "Città di Cefalù" brass band through the streets of the historic center; at noon, symphonic marches in Piazza Duomo. From 2:30 PM at the pier, the anticipation began with the "Waiting for the 'NTINNA A MARI" events, leading up to 4:00 PM for the historic 'Ntinna a mare competition, amidst dives and the crowd's applause. In the evening, the solemn procession of the Savior's statue and, as a closing, the fireworks display at the Molo in Piazza Marina.
