2025 Edition
The 2025 Santissimo Ecce Homo Festival was celebrated in Piraino (Messina) on October 11 and 12, with the octave on October 20. On Saturday the 11th, the "Alessandro Gandolfo Show" took place in Piazza Libertà at 9:30 PM, featuring variety and comedy, followed by a tasting of fresh Saracena-style pasta and the "Piraino Excellence" awards. On Sunday the 12th, masses were held every hour from 8:00 AM, followed by a parade of civil and military authorities at 4:30 PM with the presentation of the votive lamp and the key to the city. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Archbishop Salvatore Miracola, followed by the traditional procession with the statues of the SS. Ecce Homo and the Madonna of the Rosary. In the evening, music with XXL, cabaret by Martufello, and a fireworks display by the Castorino Natale company.
