Edition 2025 — Santa Tecla Feast

In 2025, Mirto held a double celebration for its patron saint. On the occasion of the Jubilee Year, an extraordinary celebration took place on August 5th with a Mass, procession, and a musical show by the band Stile Italiano in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The traditional feast was then held around September 24-26, featuring a solemn Mass at the Mother Church, the procession of the statue accompanied by the Giuseppe Verdi Band, a concert by the band Sugarfree, and fireworks.

Santa Tecla Feast 2025 in Mirto

The 2025 edition of the Santa Tecla Patronal Feast was particularly intense for the village of Mirto, in the Nebrodi mountains. On the occasion of the Jubilee Year, an extraordinary celebration was held on August 5th, including a Mass at the Mother Church, a procession of the statue through the village, and an evening musical performance by the band "Stile Italiano" in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, preceded by the recitation of the Chaplet from August 2nd to 4th.

The traditional feast returned around September 24th, the day of the patron saint. After the solemn Mass at the Mother Church, the statue of Santa Tecla was carried in procession by local youth, accompanied by the marches of the Giuseppe Verdi Award-Winning Band, conducted by Maestro Manlio Franchina. Among the most anticipated events was the evening concert by the group Sugarfree, featuring singer Matteo Amantia. The festivities concluded with a raffle and a pyrotechnic display by the Russo company from Castell'Umberto.

Programme

August 5th (extraordinary Jubilee celebration): 5:30 PM Mass at the Mother Church, procession, 9:30 PM musical show by Stile Italiano in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. September 24-26 (traditional feast): Solemn Mass, procession of the statue with the Giuseppe Verdi Band, symphonic marches in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, concert by Sugarfree (Matteo Amantia), raffle, and fireworks.
