Santa Marina Festival

In July 2025, Muro Leccese renewed the appointment with the Santa Marina Festival, the patron saint of the town, with religious and civil festivities concentrated around the second Sunday of the month. The community participated in the Solemn Holy Mass and the procession of the Saint's statue, accompanied by brass bands along the streets of the historic center.

The civil program featured characteristic artistic illuminations, brass band concerts, and evening musical shows, in addition to the now-traditional exhibition and market of ornamental poultry and local agri-food products, set up with the collaboration of Coldiretti-Campagna Amica and local poultry associations. There was no shortage of food and wine stalls with typical Salento flavors and, at the end, the fireworks that illuminated the village sky, at the foot of the ancient Byzantine church of Santa Marina.
