Edition 2025 — Santa Maria Bambina

The 2025 edition of the Santa Maria Bambina Festival in Paternò was themed "The Birth of Mary, Dawn of our Joy," within the context of the Jubilee Year. From September 5th to 7th, the preparation triduum took place at the church of Sant'Antonio Abate, while on Monday, September 8th, the solemnity featured morning Eucharistic celebrations, an afternoon procession through the historic center, and a concluding fireworks display.

Santa Maria Bambina Festival 2025

The 2025 edition, themed "The Birth of Mary, Dawn of our Joy", took place in Paternò from September 5th to 8th. The triduum (September 5-7) featured the Holy Rosary and the Chaplet every evening from 6:15 PM, followed by the 7:00 PM Eucharistic celebration.

The solemnity of Monday, September 8th, opened at 8:00 AM with the ringing of bells and cannon fire from the Norman Castle, followed by the Holy Rosary at 8:30 AM and Eucharistic celebrations at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the statue was brought out for the procession through the streets of the center, with a solemn concelebrated Mass and Vespers at the Mother Church. The day concluded with a fireworks display. The festival was led by rector Rev. Salvatore Patanè.
