Santa Maria Assunta Patronal Feast

The 2025 Patronal Feast took place in Lucera from August 5th to 17th, with the novena in the Cathedral Basilica starting on August 5th and the historical re-enactment of the Angevin siege of 1268-1269 at the Swabian-Angevin Fortress, featuring a medieval village and local crafts.

On August 11th, the switching on of the luminaries in Piazza Duomo opened the festival week. On August 14th, the squares of the center hosted the World Music Festival with tribute bands in Piazza Gramsci, Piazza della Repubblica, and Piazza Duomo, while at midnight, the Serenade to Mary was renewed in the Cathedral. On August 15th, the day of the Assumption, the solemn Pontifical Mass was followed in the evening by a concert by Nek in Piazza Matteotti. On August 16th, after the procession of the statue, Max Gazzè took the stage with a final fireworks display, while on August 17th, the concert by The Kolors and the traditional "Fire at the Castle" closed the festivities.

• August 17 — Concert by The Kolors; "Fire at the Castle" at the Swabian-Angevin Fortress.
