Edition 2025 — Assunta Feast in Padula

From August 13 to 15, 2025, the village of Padula di Cortino celebrated the Santa Maria Assunta Patronal Feast, organized by the Pro Loco Padula di Cortino. The days, featuring activities from morning to evening, combined the religious moments of the Assumption—Mass and the procession to the Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Monti della Laga—with village festivities: games, dancing, and the final fireworks display that closed the celebrations in the heart of the Monti della Laga.

2025 Assunta Feast in Padula di Cortino

The 2025 edition took place from August 13 to 15, with opening hours from 10:00 AM until the evening. The program, curated by the Pro Loco Padula di Cortino, featured games, dancing, and moments of conviviality in the village, culminating on August 15th—the Solemnity of the Assumption—with religious celebrations and the procession in honor of Santa Maria Assunta.

As per tradition, the festival concluded with a final fireworks display. The event, with free admission, attracted residents, vacationers, and families originally from the village, confirming the strong bond of the Padula community, in the municipality of Cortino, with its patron saint and the territory of the Monti della Laga in Abruzzo.

August 13-15, 2025: festival days (open 10:00-19:00 on August 14, 10:00-20:00 on August 15) with games, dancing, and social gatherings; August 15: Mass and procession in honor of Santa Maria Assunta; final fireworks display to close the festivities.
