Edition 2025 — Santa Maria Apparente

In 2025, on July 2nd, Campotosto once again celebrated the Santa Maria Apparente patronal feast. Despite the church remaining inaccessible due to seismic events, the community renewed the traditional procession through the village streets in honor of the Virgin, accompanied by women's songs and 'mortaletti' firecrackers, a tangible sign of their deep bond with the territory.

The Santa Maria Apparente patronal feast took place in Campotosto on July 2, 2025, on the day dedicated to the Virgin who appeared according to tradition in 1604. The procession crossed the entire village, accompanied by traditional songs from the local women and the sound of 'mortaletti' firecrackers. Even with the church still inaccessible due to earthquake damage, the celebration represented a strong signal of presence and the community's attachment to their land, with the possibility of visiting the sanctuary's crypt.
