Edition 2025 — Santa Maria a Mare

The 2025 edition of the solemn festivities in honor of Santa Maria a Mare took place in Maiori from August 4th to 16th, featuring the novena in the Collegiate Church and culminating in the Solemnity of the Assumption. On August 15th, masses were held from the early morning, the 'Città di Minori' Grand Concert Band toured the streets, and in the evening, the procession crossed the town before the 11:00 PM fireworks at sea.

Maiori, August 2025

In 2025, the Amalfi Coast town once again dedicated nearly two weeks to its patron saint. Following the Raising of the Portrait and the novena, August 15th concentrated the most intense moments: holy masses from 6:00 AM in the Collegiate Church; at 8:30 AM, the greeting and tour of the town by the 'Città di Minori' Grand Concert Band, directed by Maestro Giovanni Vuolo; and at 9:30 AM, entertainment with symphonic marches in Piazza San Pietro.

At 7:00 PM, the solemn pontifical mass was presided over by Monsignor Orazio Soricelli, Archbishop of Amalfi-Cava de' Tirreni, accompanied by the 'Ave Maris Stella' Polyphonic Choir of the Collegiate Church. At 8:30 PM, the solemn procession began through the streets of Maiori, concluding with the traditional Madonna's Run up the staircase. At 10:00 PM, on Corso Reginna, the lyrical-symphonic program of the 'Città di Minori' Band took place; at 11:00 PM, fireworks lit up the water in front of the town, launched from the barge moored in the bay. On August 16th, the festival concluded with celebrations for Saint Roch.
