Santa Lucia Fair

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, Scorrano celebrated the Santa Lucia Fair, one of the most popular events in Southern Salento. The day began with religious celebrations in honor of the Saint of Light, protector of eyesight, with masses held in the dedicated church from morning until late afternoon.

In the historic center and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, the traditional market took place with the fiera dei pupi: stalls of papier-mâché and terracotta nativity figures, Christmas decorations and trees, crafts, and local products. Food stands offered pittule, roasted chestnuts, cheeses, cured meats, mulled wine, and hot chocolate, while the music of bagpipers and Santa's house enlivened the atmosphere. The 2025 edition coincided with the inauguration of the village's artistic light displays, the world capital of luminarie.
