Santa Croce Festival

2025 Edition

The 2025 Santa Croce Festival took place on May 2 and 3 in Palo del Colle, following the transfer of the Holy Crucifix from the mother church to the rural chapel of Auricarro on April 27. On the evening of May 2, devotional groups and floats gathered to parade through the city streets.

On May 3, the float procession departed in the morning for Auricarro, where the procession of the Crucifix to the Festival Arch took place at 11:00, with Mass celebrated in the presence of authorities and numerous faithful. There was a particularly high number of votive floats pulled by horses and tractors, supported by local businesses, with the participation of classes from the Davanzati-Mastromatteo Comprehensive Institute, the UNITALSI of Palo, and the Guaccero-Sangirardi Musical Association. The distribution of blessed panelle and entertainment blending faith, history, and tradition were also highlights.
