Edition 2025 — Santa Colomba

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, the Santa Colomba Festival returned to Pretara, a hamlet of Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia (TE), after a long period of interruption. The day combined an afternoon guided hike in the footsteps of Saint Colomba, up to the hermitage at over 1,200 meters altitude, and a major free concert in the evening in Piazza Santa Colomba, bringing devotees and visitors back to the heart of the Teramo Gran Sasso.

Santa Colomba Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Santa Colomba Festival took place on Saturday, August 23 in Pretara, a hamlet of Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia (TE), marking the solemn return of a centuries-old tradition after years of interruption.

In the afternoon, a guided hike was held "in the footsteps of Saint Colomba," with a climb to the hermitage located at over 1,200 meters altitude, amidst the panoramas of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. In the evening, from 9:30 PM, Piazza Santa Colomba hosted a free concert by singer-songwriter RON with his show "Al centro esatto della musica," which was welcomed by a large audience.

The day brought together the devotional, hiking, and festive dimensions, confirming the deep bond between the community of Pretara and the figure of the Gran Sasso hermit.
