Santa Cesarea Festival 2025

The Santa Cesarea Festival 2025 in Porto Cesareo enlivened the Salento town from August 21 to 24, preceded by a preparatory evening on the 20th with the first vespers and mass at the church of the B. V. Mary of Perpetual Help.

The opening day featured the liturgy of the hours, the official opening with fireworks and the "Città di Leverano" band, the religious procession from the Mother Church to Piazza Nazario Sauro, solemn mass, and a double concert with Kalurya and CalandaGruppo. Subsequent evenings featured the Salento Folk Festival with the Vincenzo Romano Trio and Jonica Popolare, the "VivinPuglia" boat experience with a pizzica workshop and tastings, and the "Giacomo Puccini" Band Orchestra.

The grand finale on August 24 was entrusted to the show "80 Voglia di anni '90" with Edoardo Vianello, Massimo Di Cataldo, and Flaminio Maphia, followed at midnight by closing fireworks. Due to strong sirocco winds, the traditional sea procession was moved to Saturday, August 23.

August 21: liturgy of the hours, opening with fireworks and "Città di Leverano" band, religious and sea procession (5:00 PM), solemn mass (7:30 PM), concert by Kalurya and CalandaGruppo (9:00 PM). August 22: Salento Folk Festival with Vincenzo Romano Trio, Jonica Popolare, and dancer Silvia Greco (9:00 PM). August 23: "VivinPuglia" boat experience with pizzica workshop and tastings (1:30 PM), "Giacomo Puccini" Band Orchestra and DJ contest (9:00 PM), sea procession rescheduled due to sirocco. August 24: "80 Voglia di anni '90" show with Edoardo Vianello, Massimo Di Cataldo, and Flaminio Maphia (9:30 PM), closing fireworks (midnight).
