Edition 2025 — Santa Caterina Festival

On August 19, 2025, the seaside village of Santa Caterina, a district of Nardò (LE), celebrated the Santa Caterina Festival in the height of the summer season. Between devotion and summer celebration, the day combined the procession of the statue through the village and along the sea, the music of the bands, and an evening of concerts, concluded by traditional fireworks over the Ionian waters.

The 2025 edition of the Santa Caterina Festival took place on August 19th in the seaside village of Santa Caterina, on the Ionian coast of Nardò, attracting residents and the many tourists present on the coast in the middle of summer.

The day followed the usual blend of sacred and popular celebration: religious ceremonies and the procession of the statue through the streets of the village facing the sea, accompanied by the band; then the decorative lights illuminating the streets, music in the square, and, to crown the evening, the fireworks display over the Ionian Sea. Stalls and food stands completed a day that, every year, represents one of the symbolic moments of summer in Santa Caterina, between the municipality of Nardò and the Porto Selvaggio reserve.
