Sant'Orsio Feast and Soup Festival

On January 28th and 29th, 2025, Vejano renewed the feast in honor of its patron saint, Sant'Orsio, one of the most cherished events in the Viterbo province calendar. The celebration of the patron saint, confirmed for January 29th, 2025, followed the traditional program: on the afternoon of the 28th, the display of the relic and holy mass in the Madonna del Suffragio church, followed by the blessing and free distribution of the bread and wine soup on the church steps, a gesture that recalls the thirst suffered by the pilgrim saint during his years of atonement.

On the patron saint's day, January 29th, the village experienced solemn masses, the procession carrying the relic through the historic center streets, and the concluding fireworks display. A free and well-attended event, it is an authentic expression of the Vejano community's identity and the popular tradition of the Tuscia region.
