Sant'Oronzo Patronal Feast

The 2025 Sant'Oronzo Patronal Feast was held in Surbo from September 19 to 21, confirming the most anticipated event of the year for the community of the Lecce town. The program, organized by the Sant'Oronzo Surbo Committee together with the parish, intertwined the religious and secular dimensions: the solemn procession of the patron saint's statue through the streets of the historic center, masses and church celebrations, and on the festive side, artistic light displays, traditional brass band concerts in the bandstand, musical shows in the square, and fireworks to close the festivities.

2025 also marked the accession of Surbo, along with Lecce and Ugento, to the Association of Oronzian Cities, the network of Salento municipalities united by the cult of Sant'Oronzo. A well-attended edition that renewed the strong bond between the town and its protector.
