Edition 2025 — Sant'Onorato

The 2025 edition of the Fondi patronal festival opened on October 8th with the concert «Corde e Voce nel Duomo — musical dialogues» in the church of San Pietro. On Thursday, October 9th, and Friday, October 10th, the fair stalls filled the historic center, while on the 10th, the city celebrated its patron saint with a solemn Mass and the procession of the silver bust. The weekend featured a book presentation at the Castello Caetani and the final choral concert.

Sant'Onorato 2025: four days of celebration

The 2025 edition held special significance: during the Holy Year, it marked the 810th anniversary of the translation of the Saint's body to the Cathedral of San Pietro Apostolo, along with those of Saints Paterno and Libertino, and the 150th anniversary of the moving of the festival from January 16th to October 10th.

The program, curated by the Pro Loco Fondi Association with the Municipality, the Parish of San Pietro Apostolo, and the support of the Lazio Region, opened on Wednesday, October 8th, with the concert Corde e Voce nel Duomo. On Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th, the fair enlivened the pedestrian area, with the urban trekking tour The Fondi you don't expect on Friday afternoon. On Saturday, October 11th, at 6:30 PM at the Castello Caetani, the book Il permesso di essere fragile by Federica Addessi was presented. On Sunday, October 12th, the grand finale featured a concert by the polyphonic choir Choralia from Formia, conducted by maestro Alfonso Priori.

There was also a charitable dimension, with a blood donation day promoted by the Avis of Fondi. All events had free admission, with a shuttle service from the Monticchio market to Piazza Municipio.
