Edition 2025 — Patron Saint Festival
A year of suspension
2025 was a difficult year for the most cherished tradition in Sant'Omero, a town in the province of Teramo. In April of that year, the Universitas Sancti Homeri Association, which had organized the June 3rd festival for over twenty years, announced its withdrawal, citing the impossibility of finding common ground between the various associations, the municipal administration, and the parish.
The civic celebration of the patron saint was thus suspended, much to the regret of the community, which over the years had seen artists like Edoardo Bennato, Stadio, Matia Bazar, Arisa, and Anna Oxa perform on the village stage. While stepping down, the association expressed the hope that the festival could return under new management: a wish that would be fulfilled the following year with the return of the event in 2026.
