Edition 2025 — Sant'Mari' Cuncett'

On December 8, 2025, Cansano renewed the Sant'Mari' Cuncett' tradition, the great Immaculate Conception bonfire. In Piazza XX Settembre, food stalls managed by local producers and restaurateurs opened at 5:30 PM, offering the authentic flavors of the Abruzzo mountains. At 6:30 PM, the lighting of the great pyre to the choral voices of the village women kicked off the Christmas season in an evening of strong community participation organized by the Municipality with associations and volunteers.

Sant'Mari' Cuncett' 2025

The 2025 edition of the Sant'Mari' Cuncett' took place on December 8th in Piazza XX Settembre, in the center of Cansano (AQ). As per tradition, the food stalls managed by local producers and restaurateurs opened at 5:30 PM, offering typical dishes and specialties of the Abruzzo mountains.

At 6:30 PM, the great pyre was lit in front of the War Memorial created by Giovanni Granata, accompanied by the choral songs of the village women. Organized by the Municipality of Cansano with the collaboration of local associations, businesses, and volunteers, the festival confirmed its role in opening the Christmas season in the Peligna Valley.
