Sant'Emidio Feast 2025 — The Centenary of the Patronage
The 2025 edition marked the 100 years of the patronage of Sant'Emidio over Leporano. On Monday, August 4th, at 7:00 PM in Piazza Immacolata, Archbishop Msgr. Ciro Miniero presided over the opening ceremony of the jubilee year, followed by holy mass and the handing over of the city keys to the patron saint by Mayor Vincenzo Damiano.
On Tuesday, August 5th, the solemnity of Sant'Emidio, holy masses were held at 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with the gala procession through the main streets of the town at 7:15 PM. On Tuesday, August 12th, the feast of the patronage, the 6:30 PM mass was followed by a procession with the veneration of the saint's relic.
On the civic side, the square hosted three evenings of music: Taranto singer Patrizia Conte on August 3rd, the 'Città di Gioia del Colle' band on the 4th, and the 'Città di Lecce' and 'Città di Francavilla Fontana' bands on the 5th, with a final fireworks display.

Monday, August 4th
- 7:00 PM — Piazza Immacolata: opening ceremony of the jubilee year for the centenary of the patronage, presided over by Archbishop Msgr. Ciro Miniero; holy mass and handing over of the city keys to the patron saint by Mayor Vincenzo Damiano
- 9:30 PM — Concert by the 'Città di Gioia del Colle' brass band (cond. Giuseppe Gregucci)
