Sant'Antonio Patronal Festival (Borgagne)

The 2025 edition of the patronal festival of Sant'Antonio in Borgagne, a village of Melendugno, took place on August 29 and 30, 2025. The community gathered around its patron in an intense moment of devotion and communion.

On the religious side, the solemn celebration in the square on August 29 was followed by the procession with the saint's effigy through the village streets; on August 30, masses were held in the mother church at 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The rites were presided over by Friar Piero Errico, Father Salvatore Scardino, and Father Arcangelo Ferente.

On the secular side, the square hosted a show by the comedy group 'I malfattori' on August 29; on August 30, the 'Stella Band' and the 'Città di Manduria' band performed, with the conclusion entrusted to the traditional fireworks display.
