Edition 2025 — Sant'Alessio Folk

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Sant'Alessio Siculo hosted the edition of Sant'Alessio Siculo Folk, a parade and performance by local and regional folk groups. Starting in the late afternoon, the streets of the Messina village center came alive with songs, dances, and traditional costumes, in a day entirely dedicated to the folklore and popular traditions of Ionian Sicily.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of Sant'Alessio Siculo Folk took place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, starting in the late afternoon, in the center of Sant'Alessio Siculo (Messina). The event featured a parade and performances by local and regional folk groups.

Among the featured ensembles, Mata e Grifone, I Molesi, and I Canterini della Riviera Jonica Melino Romolo took part in the festival, bringing repertoires of songs, dances, and popular traditions of the Sicilian Ionian coast to the streets of the town. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Sant'Alessio Siculo with free admission, was a celebration and a rediscovery of the territory's intangible cultural heritage.
