Sangro Chefs Festival

45th Chefs Festival (October 10-12, 2025)

The 45th edition of the Chefs Festival was held in Villa Santa Maria, in the Province of Chieti, from October 10 to 12, 2025, and was dedicated to the Abruzzo chef Nicola Donatelli. Friday, October 10, marked the opening at 5 PM with the welcoming of the Votive Oil together with the Marche Chefs Union, the Mass at the Church of San Nicola di Bari celebrated by Monsignor Bruno Forte, and the traditional procession with the urn of Saint Francis Caracciolo, patron saint of Italian chefs, followed by the gala dinner.

On Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, the program featured cooking shows, oil and wine tastings, a seminar on truffles, bartending contests, and a junior cocktail competition reserved for students. The Cook's Museum and the "G. Marchitelli" hospitality school were open to the public. Partners of the edition included the De Cecco pasta factory and Vini Fantini; the event was also covered by the television program "L'ingrediente perfetto." The event attracted thousands of visitors from all over Abruzzo.
