Sangiovese in Festa

The 2025 edition of Sangiovese in Festa in Modigliana was marked by an unforeseen event: planned for three days (April 25th, 26th, and 27th), it was concentrated into a single day, Sunday, April 27th, to observe the days of national mourning proclaimed by the Italian Government for the death of Pope Francis.

The programme for that Sunday included, at 9:00 AM, the opening of the Tavern and stalls of local producers and hobbyists with wine tastings; at 10:30 AM, the amateur wine competition; at 12:00 PM, lunch at the Covered Market, with takeaway options; and at 3:00 PM, musical entertainment by the Trio Italiano. Art and photography exhibitions were also set up in the historic spaces of the town, including the 'Pietro Alpi' hall in the former Church of San Rocco and Palazzo Borghi. The event was organised by the Pro Loco of Modigliana, in the Province of Forlì-Cesena.
