Edition 2025 — Sancascianese Medieval Carnival

The 13th edition of the Sancascianese Medieval Carnival took place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in San Casciano in Val di Pesa. From morning until evening, the historic center hosted a medieval camp and market, archery, and a parade of floats, culminating in the challenge of the five districts before the jury that proclaimed the best performance.

The 2025 edition of the Sancascianese Medieval Carnival was held on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The program opened at 11:00 AM at the public gardens of Piazza della Repubblica with a medieval camp featuring historical entertainment and a themed market; on Via Lucardesi, the Medieval Market offered artisan stalls and workshops, while the amphitheater of Piazza Samonà hosted archery exhibitions.

The day came to life with the parade of floats and the performance of the five mini-plays staged by the districts—Cavallo, Gallo, Giglio, Leone, and Torre—before a jury of historians, professors, artists, journalists, and entertainment figures, tasked with proclaiming the best performance and awarding the key to the city.
