Edition 2025 — San Severo Summer

The 2025 edition of San Severo Summer enlivened the city from mid-July to the end of August with a widespread festival promoted by the Municipality and the Department of Culture. Theatre at the MAT with the "R-Esistenze Teatrali" festival, cinema under the stars in the Cloister of Palazzo Celestini, concerts in the squares, and activities for children at the Villa Comunale: a free programme that spanned the entire San Severo summer, from the July evenings to the closing weekend at the end of August dedicated to the Neapolitan tradition.

A widespread summer between squares and courtyards

San Severo Summer 2025 kicked off in mid-July with a free programme curated by the Municipality of San Severo. During the week of July 15-18, workshops and animated readings for children took place at the Villa Comunale Luisa Fantasia, alongside theatrical performances of the "R-Esistenze Teatrali" festival at the MAT — including the tribute to Franca Rame "Stasera siamo franche" — cinema under the stars in the Cloister of Palazzo Celestini with "Inside Out", and concerts in Piazza Agorà and Piazza del Carmine.

The grand finale at the end of August

The festival closed on the weekend of August 30-31: on Saturday, the itinerant evenings of "Music under the stars" through the streets of the centre and the comedy "Cupido scherza e spazza" in Piazza del Carmine; on Sunday, the concert "In…Canto Napoletano" with Mario Maglione in Piazza Municipio, dedicated to the masterpieces of the Neapolitan tradition. All shows had free admission.

  • 21:00 — Piazza Agorà: live concert by Senza Resa

  • 19:00 — "Music under the stars": itinerant musical performances through Corso Gramsci, Via Tiberio Solis, Largo De Cicco, Piazza Incoronazione, and other squares in the historic centre
  • 20:30 — Piazza del Carmine: theatrical comedy "Cupido scherza e spazza"
