Edition 2025 — San Secondo

In 2025, the San Secondo Celebrations were spread throughout the month of May, with the patron saint's feast day celebrated on May 6th. Between the Palio Oath and Estimation, the Saint's flag-waving ceremony, the Palio Offering in the Collegiate Church, the Soup of the Poor, and a Carolingian Fair with over 500 stalls, the city opened its Palio season with its usual popular enthusiasm.

The 2025 edition of the San Secondo Celebrations opened on May 3rd with the Palio Oath and Estimation in Piazza San Secondo, continuing on May 4th with the Saint's flag-waving ceremony. The patron saint's day, May 6th, featured flag-waving performances, the procession with the Palio Offering in the Collegiate Church, the distribution of the Soup of the Poor, and, in the afternoon, the "Pony in Palio" event and a concert by the Asti City Band.

The "Monday of Fireworks" on the banks of the Tanaro, originally scheduled for May 5th, was postponed to May 12th due to bad weather. On May 7th, the historic center hosted the Carolingian Fair with over 500 stalls, while the Flag-wavers' Palio took place on May 10th in Piazza Alfieri. The calendar concluded at the end of the month with an evening historical parade and the inauguration of an exhibition dedicated to the Palio.
