San Sebastiano Summer Festival

The 2025 edition of the San Sebastiano Summer Festival took place in Palazzolo Acreide, in the province of Syracuse, from August 8th to 17th, following the traditional calendar. On August 10th, the solemn 'Sciuta' at 1:00 PM saw the patron saint's statue carried on shoulders along the steps of Piazza del Popolo, amidst the throwing of nzareddi, cannon fire, and the sound of brass bands.

Alongside the religious rites, the charity 'Pesca', exhibitions, and evening concerts in the square enlivened the Baroque historic center. The Octave on August 17th concluded the festivities with the procession of the reliquary on the 'varicedda' and the final fireworks display.
