San Sebastiano Polenta Festival

The 49th edition of the San Sebastiano Polenta Festival took place on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Villa Santo Stefano (Frosinone), opening as per tradition the annual calendar of events of the Pro Loco Villa Santo Stefano APS.

From 8:30 AM, the master polenta makers oversaw the cooking of the polenta in the characteristic copper cauldrons, while visitors strolled through the markets set up along Viale Guglielmo Marconi. At 11:00 AM, Holy Mass was celebrated in honor of San Sebastiano, followed by the procession with the statue of the saint and the blessing of the polenta. The day concluded with the traditional free distribution of polenta with sauce and sausage, a moment of sharing that has united the Ciociaria community for nearly four centuries in memory of the ancient "people's feast" of 1643.
