San Rocco Festival

The 2025 San Rocco Festival in Tricase (LE) was held on August 16 and 17, centered in Piazza Santa Lucia with the participation of the Confraternita San Rocco – Santa Lucia. The festivities were opened by the novena, with daily mass in the saint's chapel.

Saturday, August 16, masses were held every hour from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM; in the evening, from 7:30 PM, the procession with the statue of San Rocco toured the streets of the district, followed by a solemn outdoor Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Ugento-Santa Maria di Leuca, Monsignor Vito Angiuli. The evening concluded with a fireworks display and a concert, accompanied by the brass band present in the square.

Sunday, August 17, morning and evening religious celebrations preceded the final evening, enlivened by Salento pizzica groups and folk music, closing two days of faith, tradition, and shared celebration in the heart of Salento.
