The 2025 San Rocco Festival

From August 18th to 20th, 2025, San Cassiano celebrated its patron saint, San Rocco, with three days of festivities. The religious celebrations, opened by solemn masses, reached their peak during the procession on August 19th, with the statue of the Saint carried on the shoulders of the faithful and accompanied by a brass band through the streets of the center.

The secular part enlivened the evenings with light displays, concerts, folk performances, and the captivating Salento pizzica. Food and wine stalls offered local specialties — pittule, panzerotti, grilled meat, and traditional desserts — accompanied by Salento wine. Closing the festivities, the usual fireworks display illuminated the sky of lower Salento.
