San Rocco Festival 2025

The 2025 edition took place in Gioia del Colle around Ferragosto. Religious rites began on August 13th with a solemn triduum, while the civil evenings featured three concerts in the square: a tribute band dedicated to singer-songwriter music, a concert by the Angelo Lamanna Musical Association featuring famous arias and music by Ennio Morricone, and a performance by the newfolk group I Lariulà with tarantellas and songs from the local peasant tradition.

There was no shortage of luminarie and colorful lights on Corso Cavour, stalls selling dried fruit and handicrafts, food stands, and the final fireworks display. The celebrations, organized by the Confraternity of San Rocco with the festival committee chaired by Filippo Casamassima, confirmed the San Rocco Festival as one of the most cherished summer events in the Municipality of Gioia del Colle, in the province of Bari.
