San Pompilio Festival

The 2025 San Pompilio Festival renewed the devotion to the Piarist Saint in Campi Salentina on July 14th and 15th. On July 14th, at 9:00 AM, the traditional blessing and distribution of the San Pompilio bread was held, while in the evening, the solemn procession of the urn traveled through the town streets, accompanied by the Taviano City Band.

The civil dimension featured brass band concerts in the bandstand and Salento pizzica performances, with the Talitakum orchestra and the voice of Consuelo Alfieri, one of the artists associated with the Notte della Taranta. On July 15th, the Saint's day, the Sanctuary of the Holy Spirit hosted Holy Masses and the solemn concelebration, with extended opening hours for the Pompiliano Museum and the Saint's room.

July 14, 2025 — Eve

• 09:00 AM — Blessing and distribution of the San Pompilio bread
• Afternoon — Recitation of the rosary and Eucharistic celebration
• 07:30 PM — Solemn procession of the Saint's urn with the Taviano City Band
• Evening — Band concerts in the bandstand, pizzica performances with the Talitakum orchestra, and a concert by Consuelo Alfieri

July 15, 2025 — Saint's Feast Day

• Solemn concelebration presided over by the Archbishop
• Opening of the sanctuary, the Saint's room, and the Pompiliano Museum
