San Pietro Eremita 2025: the Palio goes to Borgo Madonna

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast took place as tradition dictates from August 28th to 31st, attracting thousands of visitors to Trevi nel Lazio between the August 29th procession with the 1627 silver bust and the main day of the feast, August 30th. On Sunday, August 31st, the San Pietro Eremita Palio closed the festivities along the main avenue of the village, using the format of four one-on-one heats followed by semifinals and a final.

All eight districts competed with their respective horses: Santo Nicola with Domingo Speed, Cunicella with Degheotto, Piajo with Briciola, Rivo with Dori Fortuna, Borgo Madonna with Diamante Prezioso, Suria with Donna, Cinarzo with Bella Senz'Anima, and Civita with Caente De Campeda. The victory went to jockey Manolo Filippini riding Diamante Prezioso, already the winner of the 2024 Buti Palio, who secured the banner for the Borgo Madonna district.
