Edition 2025 — Village of Lovers

Before the launch of the 'San Piero, the Village of Lovers' project, the village of San Piero in Campo experienced Valentine's Day like many other small towns on the Island of Elba, characterized by the intimate atmosphere of its granite streets and the flavors of Aleatico, the sweet Elban wine of love. It is in this context, defined by a strong historical identity and community bonds, that the initiative dedicated to lovers took shape in 2026.

San Piero in Campo before the Village of Lovers

In 2025, San Piero in Campo, a district of Campo nell'Elba (Livorno province, Tuscany), did not yet host the structured 'San Piero, the Village of Lovers' project, which officially began in 2026. However, the village, famous for its stone houses, granite quarries, and location on the slopes of Monte Capanne, already possessed all the ingredients that would inspire the initiative: a strong community identity, the winemaking tradition of Aleatico, and an active network of associations and residents.

It was from this foundation that the idea matured to transform San Piero, during the Valentine's period, into an immersive trail dedicated to love in all its forms. The year 2025 can therefore be seen as the preparation and rooting phase of the project, prior to its debut in February 2026.
