Edition 2025 — San Pellegrino Festival

In 2025, Caltabellotta once again celebrated its patron saint, San Pellegrino, from August 16th to 18th. Three days of devotion and popular festivities included the triduum, the evocative candlelight procession of the relics from the Church of the Carmine to the hermitage, and, on August 18th, the procession of the saint's statue accompanied by a brass band and fireworks.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 San Pellegrino Festival followed the ritual passed down for generations in the village of Caltabellotta, in the Province of Agrigento. The celebrations opened on August 16th with the triduum in honor of the patron saint, continuing on August 17th with the candlelight procession that accompanied the saint's relics from the Church of the Carmine to the sanctuary on the cliff.

On August 18th, the patron saint's day, the day began with the brass band touring the village streets and culminated in the Solemn Mass at the sanctuary and the evening procession of the saint's wooden statue, greeted by fireworks. During the festival days, there was no shortage of the traditional rural fair, musical events, and entertainment shows.
