The traditional May 8th fair in the Pearl of Molise
The San Michele Fair is one of the four traditional fairs that have long marked the calendar of Bagnoli del Trigno, in the province of Isernia, a village known as the Pearl of Molise for the way houses are nestled among huge rocks and around the castle. It takes place on May 8th, with a market and stalls in the historic center.
Like the other annual fairs in the town — Madonna dei Miracoli, San Vitale, and San Emiddio — the San Michele Fair is a moment of meeting and exchange for the citizens and inhabitants of nearby centers, an integral part of the popular tradition of the Molise village.
The 2026 edition of the San Michele Fair takes place on May 8th in the historic center of Bagnoli del Trigno, with a market and stalls, according to the usual annual tradition.
Traditional fair with market and stalls in the historic center throughout the day on May 8th. Detailed program is not usually published in advance, as it is an annual fair on a fixed date.
Bagnoli del Trigno can be reached by car from the SS650 Trignina; it is about 35 km from Isernia. The fair takes place in the historic center.
May 8th. Free admission.
