Edition 2025 — Chestnut Festival

In 2025, the San Massimo Chestnut Festival confirmed its mid-October slot in Piazza Marconi, at the foot of Campitello Matese. Stands with roasted chestnuts, polenta, porcini mushroom and truffle gnocchi, hung caciocavallo cheese and mulled wine, live music until late and a free shuttle for visitors.

The 2025 edition of the Chestnut Festival renewed the autumn chestnut feast in San Massimo (CB) in Piazza Marconi, following the previous editions (the 3rd was held on October 18-19, 2024, starting at 7:00 PM). The event featured roasted chestnuts, polenta, porcini mushroom and truffle gnocchi, hung caciocavallo cheese, and mulled wine, with live music until late at night and a free shuttle service, confirming itself as one of the most beloved gastronomic events of the autumn in the Molise Matese region.
